Part I
It began innocently enough, back before this Germajo had
enlightened the world with his mere existence.It all started when some surfer dude added roller skate wheels to a plank of
wood, enabling him to practice "boarding" when the tide was out. Soon others followed suit. It quickly became known as the
skateboard and more and more innocents were sucked into the mezmeration of the seemingly benign pasttime. But behind the scenes,
one "skater" had become twisted. He swiftly realized the potential victims to be taken advantage of, through the skateboard.
He would later be known as the Skater King.
This "Skater King" worked diligently to begin mass-production
of a new skateboard, one that would enslave the minds and bodies of the people taken into the skating hysteria, making them
zombies to do his evil bidding. Few knew of his sinster plot, and even fewer possessed the power to stop him. Meanwhile, even
more sad sacks were being captured, and the Skater King's power grew to even greater, unimaginable lengths.
It all came to a peak in the mid-1970's. Everyone was "boarding"
and the King's power was virtually limitless. But there was one skater who had the power, courage, and skills to defeat him.
He was simply called "Defect".Through some divine luck, he retained his wits after he became a skater. But he knew all
skateboards were evil, and he could not defeat the King with his one of his own weapons. He lay awake many nights thinking
of the possibilties of defeating the evil. He could not use a skateboard, but he knew that was where his skills and power
lay. Finally, it was clear! A simple adjustment the design of a board and the evil disappeared! The King's design provided
that the boards would spend most of the time close to the ground, and his darkness always thrived closer to earth. When Defect
added a handle, the darkness flowed out of the handlebars and into the light, effectively killing it. Defect called his design,
the SCOOTERBOARD!
Thus prepared, he set out to defeat the King...
Part II
Much time has passed since the battle between the King and Defect. Many details are
lost but here is the last account of the great fight. After designing his scooter board, Defect left his workshop. He traveled
many days and faced countless obstacles, like the King's mindless minions. At last, he reached the King's desolate windswept
fortress. As he surveyed the large door before him, it seemed an impossible task. Then a voice...
"I am known as Guardian, the greatest scooterboard ever. You may have created my body,
but I am the spirit that told you to create this vessel. Your task is great and will is strong, but alas your resolve is weakening as
you stand at this last gate. Be strong and cry the word that will defeat the Evil King and start the New World." Defect felt
the power course through his veins and with a great voice: "SCOOTERBOARD!!"
The great door fell away and he entered the castle. The details of the fight are unknown,
suffice to say the battle was magnificent and Defect fought bravely. When it seemed the King was defeated, Defect turned
his back long enough for the King to hurl one last curse. Defect was vaporized and the King would return. Skating died
down, but it would make a return, when the Evil King had found a portal back into our world from his other realm prison. But
Guardian had not forgotten his maker. He encrysted his essence to be reborn in a race of people the NFers, destined to keep
the King at bay and perhaps one day defeat him for good. Guardian then disappeared leaving behind a legend that the leader
of the NFers would journey far to find him and would be the one to defeat the Evil King Skater. Until that day the world waits
for this hero to appear...
